Freedom

If I found out today I was dying

Would I live my life any differently?

Would I change my actions, my thoughts, my ways,

Or would I live life the same?

I see oh, so many shortcomings,

Where I've lived my life so selfishly.

Where I've wasted my time and my talents,

Not living each day for my King.

Would I cherish the moments I have with you?

Lord, would I lean on Your strength to see me through?

Would I run far away, out of fear and doubt?

No, I know just what I'd do.

I'd say I love you more often.

I'd hug and kiss you all through the day.

And I'd look deeply into your beautiful eyes,

And listen to all you would say.

I'd live my life to the fullest,

Making each moment count for eternity,

Sharing laughter, love, and sincerity.

And, Oh Lord, I would be free!

Free from all the things that have hindered me,

Free to be the me that You've called me to be,

Free to laugh in the face of adversity,

'Cause I know I'm in Your care.

No, I am not gonna be afraid

Thought I don't know what's before my face

No, I am not gonna be afraid,

'Cause I'm living deep in Your grace.

Well, I know today I am living.

I think I'll live as if I were dying.

Making sure not one moment's wasted,

But living each day for my King.
